In a significant step towards simplifying citizens’ lives, Parliament passed the Repealing and Amending Bill, 2025, which repeals or amends 71 old and irrelevant laws.
Introducing the bill in the Rajya Sabha, Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal said that the bill aims to remove laws that have become irrelevant over time. It also aims to correct technical errors made during the lawmaking process and eliminate discriminatory provisions present in some laws.
संसद ने नागारिकों के जीवन को आसान बनाने की दिशा में एक अहम कदम उठाते हुए 71 पुराने और अप्रासंगिक कानूनों को निरस्त या संशोधित करने से जुड़े निरसन और संशोधन विधेयक, 2025 को पारित कर दिया।
राज्यसभा ने विधेयक पेश करते हुए कानून मंत्री अर्जुन राम मेघवाल ने कहा कि इस विधेयक का उद्देश्य ऐसे कानूनों को हटाना है, जो अब समय के साथ अप्रासंगिक हो चुके हैं। साथ ही कानून निर्माण के दौरान हुई तकनीकी चूक को सुधारना और कुछ कानूनों में मौजूद भेदभावूपर्ण प्रावधानों को खत्म करना भी इसका मकसद है।
