The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) is set to launch a new web portal soon to facilitate its members.
This portal, named ‘e-Prapti’, will enable members to easily track and reactivate their old and inoperative Provident Fund accounts. The portal will be equipped with an Aadhaar-based authentication system, allowing even those members who do not possess a Universal Account Number (UAN) to access their old EPF accounts.
The government began issuing a 12-digit unique ID—known as the UAN—to every member in 2014.
In its initial phase, the portal will be Member ID-based to ensure its secure and smooth implementation. Subsequently, its scope will be expanded to cover those members who are unable to recall or access their old IDs.

कर्मचारी भविष्य निधि संगठन (ईपीएफओ) अपने सदस्यों की सुविधा के लिए जल्द ही एक नया वेब पोर्टल लॉन्च करने जा रहा है।
इस पोर्टल का नाम ई-प्राप्ति होगा, जिसके जरिये सदस्य अपने पुराने और निष्क्रिय (इनऑपरेटिव) भविष्य निधि खातों को आसानी से ट्रैक और सक्रिय कर सकेंगे। यह पोर्टल आधार आधारित प्रमाणीकरण प्रणाली से लैस होगा, जिससे वे सदस्य भी अपने पुराने ईपीएफ खातों तक पहुंच बना सकेंगे, जिनके पास यूनिवर्सल अकाउंट नंबर (यूएएन) नहीं है।
सरकार ने 2014 में प्रत्येक सदस्य के लिए 12 अंकों का यूनिक आईडी यानी यूएएन जारी करना शुरू किया था।
शुरुआती चरण में यह पोर्टल सदस्य आईडी आधारित होगा, ताकि इसे सुरक्षित और सुचारु रूप से लागू किया जा सके। आगे चलकर इसका दायरा उन सदस्यों तक भी बढ़ाया जाएगा, जो अपने पुराने आईडी को याद नहीं कर पाते या एक्सेस नहीं कर सकते
