The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has announced its withdrawal from the Gulf oil-producing countries’ Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and the wider OPEC group effective May 1. OPEC’s limited production quotas prevented the UAE from reaching its full potential.

संयुक्त अरब अमीरात (यूएई) ने एक मई से खाड़ी के तेल उत्पादक देशों के संगठन ओपेक और व्यापक ओपेक समूह से अलग होने का एलान किया है। ओपेक के सीमित उत्पादन कोटा की वजह से यूएई अपनी पूरी क्षमता का उपयोग नहीं कर पा रहा था।
