North India’s first semiconductor unit will start production in 2028. PM Modi laid the foundation stone of India Chip Plant, a joint venture between Indian company HCL and Taiwanese company Foxconn, in Jewar, Gautam Buddha Nagar, via video conferencing.
India Chip Pvt. Ltd. is a 60:40 joint venture between HCL Group and Foxconn. The advanced OSAT facility is expected to be operational by 2028.
With a capacity of 20,000 chips per month, the facility aims to meet India’s growing demand for domestic semiconductor components and strengthen a resilient, self-reliant semiconductor supply chain.
उत्तर भारत की पहली सेमीकंडक्टर इकाई 2028 में उत्पादन शुरू करेगी। पीएम मोदी ने गौतबुद्ध नगर के जेवर में भारतीय कंपनी एचसीएल और ताइवान की कंपनी फाॅक्सकाॅन के संयुक्त उपक्रम इंडिया चिप प्लांट का वीडियो काॅन्फ्रेंसिंग के जरिये शिलान्यास किया था।
इंडिया चिप प्रा. लि. एचसीएल ग्रुप व फाॅक्सकाॅन का 60ः40 का संयुक्त उद्यम है। उन्नत ओएसएटी सुविधा के 2028 तक चालू होने की उम्मीद है।
प्रति माह 20,000 चिप्स की क्षमता के साथ, इस सुविधा का मकसद भारत की बढ़ती घरेलू सेमीकंडक्टर घटकों की मांग को पूरा करना और साथ ही लचीली, आत्मनिर्भर सेमीकंडक्टर आपूर्ति शृंखला को मजबूत करना है।
