‘Khelo India Winter Games 2026’

The Khelo India Winter Games 2026 are being held in Leh, Ladakh from January 20-26, 2026.

More than 1000 men and women, including athletes, coaches, and technical officials, are participating in this competition.
The Nawang Dorje Stobdan (NDS) Stadium, the Army Rink, and the frozen Gupuk Lake will be the center of attraction until the conclusion of the games on January 26.
A total of 472 athletes will participate in the two main ice sports – skating and hockey.
A new attraction this year is the inclusion of the Olympic discipline of ‘Figure Skating’ in the competition.
This is the second major event in the Khelo India calendar this year.
It is an opportunity for the athletes to test themselves in challenging conditions such as sub-zero temperatures and low oxygen levels.
Among the 21 states and union territories participating in this competition, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, and Ladakh have the highest number of athletes.
A total of 17 gold medals will be up for grabs in the Ladakh leg of the Winter Games, 15 of which will be awarded for ice skating.

खेलो इंडिया विंटर गेम्स 2026, 20-26 जनवरी 2026 तक लेह लद्दाख में आयोजित किया जा रहे हैं।
इस प्रतियोगिता में एथलीटों, कोचों और तकनीकी अधिकारियों सहित 1000 से अधिक पुरुष और महिलाएं हिस्सा ले रहे हैं।
नवांग दोरजे स्टोबदान (एनडीएस) स्टेडियम, आर्मी रिंक और बर्फ से ढंका हुआ गुपुख झील 26 जनवरी को खेलों के समापन तक आकर्षण का केंद्र रहेंगे।
बर्फ पर खेले जाने वाले दो प्रमुख खेलों- स्केटिंग और हॉकी में कुल 472 एथलीट भाग लेंगे।
इस वर्ष का एक नया आकर्षण ओलंपिक स्पर्धा ‘फिगर स्केटिंग’ को प्रतियोगिता में शामिल करना है।
यह खेलो इंडिया कैलेंडर का इस वर्ष का दूसरा बड़ा आयोजन है।
एथलीटों के लिए यह शून्य से नीचे तापमान और कम ऑक्सीजन जैसी चुनौतीपूर्ण परिस्थितियों में खुद को परखने का अवसर है।
इस प्रतियोगिता में हिस्सा लेने वाले 21 राज्यों और केंद्र शासित प्रदेशों में हरियाणा, हिमाचल प्रदेश और लद्दाख के एथलीट सबसे अधिक हैं।
विंटर गेम्स के लद्दाख चरण में कुल 17 स्वर्ण पदक दांव पर होंगे, जिनमें से 15 आइस स्केटिंग के लिए दिए जाएंगे।
