The Indian Air Force has acquired a new indigenous unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) called Arya. This UAV can penetrate deep into enemy territory, up to 350 kilometers away, at very high speeds to carry out special operations.
Arya can fly at a speed of 180 kilometers per hour with a 20-kilogram payload and can remain airborne for approximately 4 hours on a single flight.
Importantly, the Arya UAV can operate effectively even in areas where GPS signals are unavailable or where there are challenges such as electronic warfare.
Arya can be equipped with day and night vision cameras, mapping cameras, and other intelligence-gathering equipment.
Weighing approximately 55 kilograms, Arya has a wingspan of 4.6 meters, a length of 3.5 meters, and a height of 0.8 meters.
वायुसेना को एक नया स्वदेशी मानवरहित हवाई वाहन (यूएवी) आर्य मिल गया है। यह यूएवी बेहद तेज गति से दुश्मन के इलाके में 350 किलोमीटर दूर तक घुसकर स्पेशल आॅपरेशन अंजाम दे सकता है।
आर्य 20 किलोग्राम के पेलोड के साथ 180 किलोमीटर प्रति घंटा की रफ्तार से उड़ान भर सकता है। साथ ही एक बार उड़ान भरने के बाद करीब 4 घंटे हवा में रह सकता है।
खास बात यह है कि आर्य यूएवी ऐसे इलाकों में भी प्रभावी ढंग से काम कर सकता है जहां जीपीएस सिग्नल उपलब्ध न हों या इलेक्ट्रानिक युद्ध जैसी चुनौतियां हों।
आर्य में दिन और रात दोनों समय देखने वाले कैमरे, मैपिंग कैमरे और खुफिया जानकारी जुटाने वाले अन्य उपकरण लगाए जा सकते हैं।
करीब 55 किलो वजनी आर्य के पंखों की चैड़ाई (विंगस्पैन) 4.6 मीटर, लंबाई 3.5 मीटर और ऊंचाई 0.8 मीटर है।
