The first indigenously built Diving Support Craft (DSC A-20) was inducted into the Navy on Tuesday. Equipped with modern diving equipment, this vessel will play a crucial role in the Navy’s diving operations in coastal waters.
This is the first of a total of five such vessels to be inducted into the Navy. All these vessels are being manufactured by Titagarh Rail Systems Ltd. in Kolkata.
पहला स्वदेश निर्मित डाइविंग सपोर्ट क्राफ्ट डीएससी ए-20 मंगलवार को नौसेना में शमिल हो गया। आधुनिक डाइविंग उपकरणों से लैस यह पोत तटीय जल क्षेत्रों में नौसेना के गोताखोरी अभियानों में अहम भूमिका निभाएगा।
नौसेना में ऐसे कुल पांच पोत शामिल होने हैं, जिनमें से यह पहला है। यह सभी पोत कोलकाता की टीटागढ़ रेल सिस्टम्स लि. बना रही है।
